CORPFILM reporting went okay. I didn’t submit my client profile just yet as well as the program needs analysis, but I don’t think my prof noticed it. I did submit my concept paper though. And my groupmates told me they’ll make mine our midterm video instead. I had to think of a concept the night before, while I was all caught up in 3 more subjects. Plus one more which is a video project, putting emphasis on production design. I was able to get Wes Anderson’s American Express ad as a peg for our midterm.
EXMOPIC however…we watched three experimental films. I didn’t quite get how to do an experimental film, but from watching the three, it was more surrealist and avant garde, correct me if I used the term wrong. haha. The first film was okay, shot in black and white, and it reminded me of Fellini’s 8 1/2, minus the multiple characters. The second film… it showed the director’s wife giving birth. Not C-section I can tell you that. We saw EVERYTHING. And we were all freaking out at how painful it looked, the guys couldn’t look at it, and we were all cringing. And at everything that was going to happen. The third one, was about violence against homosexuals during the 1940’s.
And now, I think I am attracted to Tom Cowan of The Horrors. I’ve been watching their episode on The Mighty Boosh lately. hahaha.
